Description

A refreshing and immune-boosting drink made with turmeric, ginger, and lemon. Naturally anti-inflammatory and perfect warm or iced.


Ingredients

Scale

2 inches fresh ginger root, sliced

1 tsp ground turmeric or 1 tbsp freshly grated turmeric root

2 large lemons, juiced

2 tbsp raw honey (or maple syrup for vegan)

4 cups filtered water

Pinch of black pepper (optional)

Ice cubes (optional, for serving)


Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sliced ginger.

2. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.

3. Add turmeric and simmer for another 5 minutes.

4. Remove from heat and strain the mixture.

5. Let it cool slightly, then stir in lemon juice and honey.

6. Add a pinch of black pepper if using.

7. Taste and adjust sweetness.

8. Serve warm or pour over ice.


Notes

Use black pepper to boost turmeric absorption.

Substitute maple syrup for a vegan version.

Add mint, cinnamon, or orange for seasonal variety.

Store refrigerated for up to 3 days.
