These old-fashioned mini burgers deliver classic comfort food in bite-sized perfection. Tender ground beef patties topped with melted cheddar, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, tangy pickles, and onion on soft buns are a crowd-pleaser for parties or family meals.
Ingredients
Ground beef (1.5 lbs, 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
Slider buns or small dinner rolls (12, brioche or potato rolls recommended)
Cheddar cheese (6-8 slices, or 1 cup shredded)
Lettuce (1 head, shredded or leaves)
Tomatoes (2 medium, thin slices)
Pickles (1/2 cup, dill pickle chips, sliced)
Onion (1/2 small, finely chopped or thinly sliced)
Olive oil or vegetable oil (2 tbsp, for pan-frying)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C) to keep buns warm
In a bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper
Shape into 12 equal patties (about 2 oz each)
Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat
Cook patties 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through
Place a cheese slice on each patty during last 1-2 minutes of cooking to melt
While patties cook, slice lettuce, tomatoes, and onion into bite-sized pieces
Toast slider buns in oven if desired
Assemble sliders by placing 1/2 lettuce, 1 slice tomato, 1 tbsp pickles, and 1 tsp onion on each bun half
Top with a beef patty and cover with the remaining bun half
Notes
Use leaner ground beef if preferred
For halal-friendly buns, confirm they’re free from lard or pork gelatin
Customize toppings with your favorites (e.g., avocado, relish, ketchup)
Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours, consume within 3-4 days
Grill patties for smoky flavor if you have a grill pan
