Beef Ribs (spare ribs or back ribs)
1.5 cups BBQ Sauce (halal)
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon paprika (smoked preferred)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder


Instructions

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C) or set grill to indirect heat.
Remove the membrane from the beef ribs (see notes for technique).
In a bowl, mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar to create dry rub.
Generously apply the rub to both sides of the ribs; refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Place ribs in a roasting pan or on grill; cook for 2 hours, turning occasionally.
Brush BBQ sauce onto ribs, return to oven/grill for 30 minutes.
Mix remaining sauce with honey (1/4 cup honey) and brush onto ribs for final 30 minutes to create a sticky glaze.
Rest 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use a knife to scrape off the membrane from the ribs for maximum tenderness.
For gluten-free version, ensure BBQ sauce is certified gluten-free.
Beef ribs are ideal, but substitute with lamb if preferred.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
