Instructions

Preheat waffle iron to desired temperature.

In another bowl, beat eggs, then mix in buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla, and chocolate chips.
Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed; avoid over-stirring.

Notes

For buttermilk substitute: mix 1 3/4 cups milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar and let sit 5 minutes.
Let batter rest 5 minutes for fluffier waffles.
