Description
This frozen strawberry lemonade is a bright and refreshing drink perfect for any sunny day. Combining the tangy zing of fresh lemons and the sweet flavor of frozen strawberries, this homemade treat is as invigorating as it is easy to make.
Ingredients
4 cups frozen strawberries (can use fresh strawberries frozen at home)
4–6 fresh lemons, juiced (about 1.5 to 2 cups)
1 cup sugar (adjust to taste; you can use simple syrup instead)
2 cups cold water (plus more as needed for thinning)
1 cup ice cubes (optional, for extra frostiness)
Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a blender, add the frozen strawberries, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and 2 cups of cold water.
Blend on high until smooth. Taste and add more water, sugar, or lemon juice as needed to balance the flavors.
If desired, add 1 cup of ice cubes and blend again to create a more slushy consistency.
Chill the lemonade briefly in the refrigerator or pour directly into glasses.
Garnish with fresh mint sprigs for a final touch.
Serve immediately.
Notes
Use freshly squeezed lemons for the best flavor.
If you don’t have a blender, you can crush the frozen strawberries finely and strain the mixture, but a blender will give it a better texture.
For a smoother consistency, use simple syrup instead of granulated sugar.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
