Description

A sweet and tangy Southern classic featuring brewed black tea, ripe peaches, sugar, and lemon. Perfect for sipping on warm days, this easy-to-make drink balances fruity depth with refreshing zing.

Ingredients

Scale

810 black tea bags
8 cups water (4 for brewing, 4 for diluting)
23 medium ripe peaches (peeled, pitted, chopped)
1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
1 lemon (sliced for serving)
Ice cubes

Instructions

Bring 4 cups water to boil in a pot
Add tea bags, reduce heat, and steep for 10 minutes
Remove tea bags and let steeping liquid cool slightly
In a blender, combine peaches, sugar, and 1 cup water
Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve
Mix tea base with peach puree and 3 cups cold water
Chill for at least 1 hour before serving
Serve over ice with lemon slices

Notes

Taste and add more sugar if needed
Use high-quality black tea for best flavor
Overripe peaches yield more intense sweetness
Store in airtight container in fridge for 3-4 days
