Description
A bright, floral iced tea blending ripe peaches and robust black tea, perfect for summer gatherings. Naturally sweetened with fruit and balanced by lemon, it captures Southern hospitality in every sip.
Ingredients
8 cups water (divided: 4 cups for boiling, 4 cups for chilling)
6–8 black tea bags (orange pekoe or English breakfast)
3–4 medium fresh peaches (ripe, fragrant, peeled, and sliced)
1–2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
2–3 lemon slices (for serving)
Cubes of ice (for serving)
Instructions
Place tea bags in a large heatproof container
Pour 4 cups boiling water over tea bags and steep for 5 minutes
Remove tea bags and stir in sliced peaches and sugar until sugar dissolves
Let mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled (at least 1 hour)
When ready to serve, stir in 4 cups chilled water and ice
Ladle into glasses with lemon slices and enjoy chilled
Notes
Use overripe, fragrant peaches for maximum flavor
For stronger peach flavor, let infused tea steep at room temperature for 15 minutes before chilling
Adjust sugar based on peach sweetness and personal preference
Tea can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
Serve over fresh ice cubes for the best texture
