Ingredients
2.5 – 3 pounds chicken drumsticks
1.5 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
In a small bowl, mix BBQ sauce, honey or brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper
Place chicken drumsticks in a baking dish and pour half the sauce mixture over them. Toss to coat
Bake for 35 minutes
Brush remaining sauce over chicken. Continue baking 10-15 minutes, until glaze is caramelized and drumsticks are fully cooked
Notes
Marinate chicken in sauce for up to 2 hours in the fridge for extra flavor
Use a wire rack in the baking dish for even cooking
Adjust sweeteners to personal preference
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
